Location, location, location...

Four days to go! We've been playing with instamapper so you can get up to the minute information to see exactly which pub we're in! How successful it will be depends on whether we get phone reception and GPS coverage, and how much it drains the phone battery, so please don't worry if it looks like we're going nowhere!

If you scroll to the bottom of the blog page, you'll see the map. There's no location info at present, but once we're on the road, we'll turn on the tracking and it will zoom in to where we are.

Note that it doesn't refresh automatically - so you'll need to press F5 to see if we've moved since you last looked!

Sponsorship

Lots of you have asked if we're doing our ride for charity, so we've created a JustGiving page in aid of Sue Ryder Care - please feel free to donate as much as you'd like. They are a fantastic charity and we'd love them to benefit from our cycling adventure. You can donate here.

The route

We've based our route on Phil Horsley's Land's End to John O'Groats - The Great British Bike Adventure. I think it's fair to say that Mr Horsley's skills in producing an engaging narrative (including a 'brewery of the day'!) outweigh his skills in cartography.

However, after countless hours of poring over a PC, his simple line drawings are mapped for your digital perusal.

We've split the map into sections as the whole route takes a long time to load (and even longer to cycle!)

Days 1 - 5
Days 7 - 11
Days 13 - 17
Days 19 - 22

(If you're wondering what's happened to days 6, 12 and 18, they're our days off!)
